Summary

I have been actively involved in a variety of academic and professional activities, with a particular focus on energy efficiency and innovative building technologies & on sustainable energy solutions.

My research and publications aim to contribute to the decarbonization process and to improve energy performance in buildings, integrating topics such as nearly zero and zero emission buildings, district heating and renewable energy communities.

I am proud that my work reaches relevant international audience, with several articles published in prestigious journals, mainly as sole author or first author. Through my research, I strive to contribute to advancing energy policy and fostering technical innovations within the construction sector, as major energy consumer.

My specific research topics also include:
  • Building and Systems Energy Modelling - hourly and monthly models;
  • Advanced heat and mass transfer applications (steady state and transient thermal analysis) using numerical methods (e.g., Finite Element Method);
  • Artificial intelligence-based prediction models, developed as thermal engineering applications in the specific branch of civil engineering.
